Chelsea Reitz
Have you been trying to “make time for yourself” but aren’t quite sure what that looks like? Is it hard to explain “what you’ve been going through” to friends and family but can’t quite find the right words to say? I can help you make yourself a priority and instill positive self-care practices to create healthy patterns in your life. Positive self-talk, boundaries and “me time” are all important aspects of self-care and can lead to healthier mental health, however, sometimes digging deeper and being able to connect your behaviors to the thoughts and feelings that motivate them can lead to more understanding of yourself and answer the question of “why do I do that?”. Being vulnerable can be a scary thing but I can help you feel comfortable sharing and coping with difficult situations in order to move forward and gain strength from your life experiences. By utilizing the CBT and TF-CBT model and techniques, we can uncover some of those layers that cause us to ask those questions to ourselves. We can build a toolbox of skills to use when we are experiencing emotional and physical triggers and understand why your body is reacting the way it does. With these skills and practices, we can implement them into our daily lives to feel more in control and confident with ourselves.
